Job purpose
The Print Production Specialist oversees the relationship and communication with key printing partners and audiobook vendors, while supporting the printing needs for internal teams and managing the print-on-demand author orders.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain Greenleaf Book Group's reputation for high-level service to its clients and uphold the company's CORE values (RISE: Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, and Empowerment).
- Support Production Manager and Project Management team with the day-to-day operations of all print production jobs for internal teams and authors.
- Build and maintain positive and professional relationships with printing partners and other book production vendors.
- Oversee the print production communication with print and other media vendors, as well as internal team members.
- Troubleshoot when issues arise with print production and help determine the best solution.
- Manage the bid and order process with print and other media vendors.
- Maintain updated records within internal print production tracking documents and systems.
- Reconcile final invoices with quotes to verify all print production costs from vendors.
- Work closely with printer representatives to establish procedures and reports that will improve service and accuracy.
- Supervise the print-on-demand author orders process and customer service.
- Negotiate with established vendors to reduce our overall production cost, while maintaining quality and service.
- Research and expand relationships with new printing vendors.
- Explore printing trends and technologies to keep the production team up-to-speed on new industry practices.

Education & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Two years of publishing or media experience a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite; FileMaker Pro a plus
- Specialized training in print buying or book manufacturing a plus
