Project Manager

Job purpose

The Project Manager guides and manages authors’ books through the production process, while delivering high-quality service and excellent client management in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain Greenleaf Book Group’s reputation for high-level service to its clients and uphold the company’s CORE values (RISE: Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Empowerment)
  • Communicate clearly and professionally as the primary client and team lead contact for projects in production (editorial, design, and printing)
  • Manage the project throughout the production process, from manuscript delivery to the delivery of final printed books
  • Oversee client expectations and problem-solve client concerns and requests
  • Develop and manage project production schedules, communicating them internally and externally, while making sure the project team is focused on the task due dates
  • Consult with other departments for the necessary project recommendations and communicating the information to the client
  • Maintain the integrity of the internal system records for each project
  • Schedule and participate in project-related meetings, such as titling, client team meetings, and production launch meetings
  • The position is mostly remote, with occasional in-person meetings in Austin office. Employee must be a Texas resident and be able to commute to office for required meetings.

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Three years of project management experience in a client-driven environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite; FileMaker Pro a plus
  • Specialized training or certification in project management a plus
