Ellen Weir Casey is an award-winning educator and writer who has dedicated her life to teaching, nurturing, and inspiring children. She made headlines as the “mother of Colorado’s miracle baby” in 1983. She has spoken about her experience as an in vitro pioneer on national television and in national print media.

She is a graduate of Colorado College, earning both a BA in English and a master’s degree in education. Ellen is delighted when she is still introduced today as the mother of “Colorado’s first test-tube baby.” She lives in the shadow of Pikes Peak, in the foothills of Colorado Springs. Her newest role as grandmother to Bennett is the icing on the cake of her life.
