Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way

Succeeding in the Face of Turbulent Times

Desi Williamson

If our experiences, both positive and negative, are constantly teaching us about life, Desi Williamson must have accumulated a couple of PhDs by now. He survived the mean streets of St. Louis and a troubled childhood but went on to earn a football scholarship to college. He then fell into his life's passion, both figuratively and literally.

After a successful career in sales and marketing and a Hall-of-Fame career in professional speaking, Williamson has a serious fall that caused him to suffer a broken neck in two places. Temporarily paralyzed, Williamson endured fourteen hours of surgery, three months in the hospital, a dozen bolts and screws in his spine, and a metal and fiberglass halo screwed into his skull before recovering. Along this path to recovery he found a new perspective in life. Williamson's journey and near-death experiences have given him an extraordinary awareness and appreciation for life that probably wouldn't have developed otherwise. He shares his profound new way of approaching life in Where There's a Will, There's a Way

Desi Williamson beat the odds despite growing up in a world surrounded by poverty. The former scholar-athlete at the University of Minnesota spent more than twenty years as an executive in corporate America where he built multimillion-dollar businesses, managed multi-million dollar budgets, and developed the potential in people for powerhouse companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Rain Bird Sprinkler Manufacturing, Pepsi Co, and Cadbury Schwepps. He also developed his own successful businesses in real estate, marketing, and distribution.
